To make a movie version is to rob the viewers of the satisfaction of completing these, and make the game (if the conversion from game to film is done unammended) stand on whatever it has left. That's a tall order for both game designers and the folks who make movies, especially when the game designers had no idea that their game would become a film in the first place. > > > > If game/movies do become common, we'll probably start seeing a completely different style of game emerge. > > Or a different style of movie. Remember the old Choose Your Own Adventure books? Imagine, if you will, that the movie has been made with a story tree, and that patrons can vote on the next action, after the movie goes on for a while. This has already been done with some movies. However, there are problems with this idea which should be easy to think up, even for someone who's never heard of this concept. Having to extend the production time due to more story than will show in one playing springs readily to mind. :) > > > 10"There might be some games that work, though"Kan > > Nyperold
Heard of it; don't they have these in some theme parks? (I saw an article a long time ago on "interactive theater", but I can't for the life of me remember what it was like. There was something about preventing a car accident or something.)
Ar"but the movie was only about five minutes long anyway"thur
