I'm going to make my predictions for the Sears Point race a little earlier this week. I won't have the benefit of practice speeds or qualifying positions, but if I miss it as much as I did last week I'll consider getting out of the prediction business. (Did I hear a round of applause?)

Winner: Mark Martin
Look for a good showing by Ricky Rudd who has had a miserable year so far.
Rusty Wallace will crash.
Keep an eye on Tony Stewart. He should have the cameras on him all day.
Dale Jarrett will keep the points lead.
Look for Jeff Gordon to finish in the top five as will at least one Burton brother.
