Candlestick Park IS Candlestick Park to anyone who lived in the area before the name was changed, I'll tell you that. Although I think I'll be obliged to use the new name for the San Jose Arena (now called Compaq Center) seeing as my dad works for them and that gets us nice seats.

I love those little monorail thingies. Being so well traveled, I even have FAVORITE monorail thingies in airports (the #1 coolest one being the one in the Orlando airport, because it docks in these neon tube-y sci-fi looking things). For some reason, I loved the little train thingie that goes underneath the Capitol building in DC. It makes noises like a music box, I swear it does. And I just went off on such a tangent.

Ah, the joys of airline food... O_o

For some reason, the open-ness of Texas feels weird to me. I'm used to living in a place that is gently cupped by hills and small mountains, and being anywhere too open like that just seems too exposed. I like my valleys and mountains. :)

That same kind of stink is being raised at my school now. But they NEED new dorms, so there... the more major issue is the idea of corporate/education buildings, with the bottom floors of a high-rise being for the school and the top floors being leased out. Similar, in a way.
