I strongly believe that people should be able to do whatever they want to there own bodies (abortion, prostitution, drugs, no motorcycle helmets, etc.) as long as they don't endanger the lives of others while doing it. Its there choice. I can't compare capital punishment and abortion though. Cpital punishment equals murder, killing is wrong in all aspects. With abortion though its the mothers choice, and sense the baby is not yet born it can't make choises and has no legal protection.
