True. Strangly, people tend to stop looking for new evidence after someone has been executed. I have no doubt that had the Guildford 4 been executed instead of given life imprisonment, they would never have had their convictions revoked. They created huge amounts of noise, pressured their lawyers into looking for new evidence, pushed for appeals... Dead people can't do that.

There have certainly been cases of people uncovering new evidence after a conviction, but before execution. I think it's a big assuption to say that that was every single case of false conviction.
