I never spread gossip about "real" people (as opposed to celebrities). There's too much potential for harm, no matter how curious I might be. Well, I might repeat a harmless rumor, such as "I heard you were quitting your job and moving to the Andes....details?"

Celebrity rumors rarely interest me. New hairstyles are boring unless there is blue dye involved. Most of what I read when waiting in the supermarket line annoys me rather than interests me....such as "Liz Taylor Getting Married for Thirtieth Time" or "Angela Lansbury Leaves Husband For Chippendale."

I think I am fairly intelligent. Gossip is *dull*. Sometimes it occupies my mind briefly, though....like the fact that Janet Jackson had a secret husband for years, that Moby is the great-great-greatnephew of Herman Melville, or that Alanis Morrisette might have written "You Oughtta Know" about Dave "Full House" Coulier. Those instances are very rare, and I take them with a grain of salt.
