So the difference between "free" and "cheap" is kinda like the difference between "interest" and "yield." I remember one time, when I was on a committee to set up a credit union for the teachers in our system, we were discussing "surplus" and some one said it wasn't real money, it was just on paper. I asked why they put a dollar sign in front of it, and they all looked at me like I was stupid. I guess I'm still stupid, but to me, money is money, and free means no money. I think I'll stick with cash, check, or money order.
