USVI taxi

If you take a taxi in the Virgin Island you will probably ride in a vehicle made from a pickup truck with seats on the back for as many as 25 people. Since the roads are narrow, crooked, and steep, and the drivers are insane and fearless, you will experience the ultimate thrill ride. To make matters worse, the trucks are left hand drive and they drive on the left side of the road. Mountain roads seldom have guard rails and the steel seats in (on?) the taxi have no padding and no seatbelts. Over hanging branches slash the open sides of the passenger seats. A roller coaster is a milder, safer ride.
