Nice story. I had a similar experience when I was a lot younger on Frinton beach (east coast of England, very nice sandy beaches). We were there with our cousins (one of whom was a couple of years older than me) and there was a nasty little boy going round jumping on sandcastles. So this older cousin (Alex, his name was) went and found a largish stone and buried it just under the top of a large new sandcastle. I imagine you can guess the rest; this little boy was not a happy bunny.
