Oh, well, I actually considered writing "...notwithstanding Travholt, Ticia, and Brunnen-G's protests" but got cut off in my thought there. I didn't want to be too much the villain!

Er...well, maybe *I* did. When I dropped into Chat that day, I found that you, Ticia, Nyp, Faux Pas and wintermute were discussing "rinky-dink" as a term that means small-time and old-fashioned according to Merriam-Webster. (Should I blame Ticia then? :-) My own view was and is that language evolves as the needs and focus of its speakers change. So hey -- if the uncommon word "Rinky-dink" means something boring and insignificant, it's high time that *we* choose to stuff it chock full of meaning and goodness, right?
