Everything means something on monuments like that. I'm no historian, but 36 states sounds about right for Lincoln's day. It's been a long time since I was in London, but I don't remember seeing Lincoln there. I could have overlooked him or maybe I just forgot. Anyway, Isn't there a statue of Winston Churchill in the U.S. Capital?

Speaking of statues, does anybody know which king is depicted among the statues in the Capitol building?
It was the big guy himself.
