I looked it up... and mistakenly read verse 12 instead. And wondered why exactly you'd choose *that* verse. Heh.

I learned in Biblical Revelations class that some scholars believe Paul had poor eyesight. The custom was to dictate letters and add something in your own handwriting at the end... and while large letters may have been for emphasis they also may have been for this reason.
