> I don't know if ya'll heard or not, but Douglas Adams died Friday of a heart attack at age 49. He was the man responsible for "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and other sci-fo/humor greats. I couldn't believe it when I first read it...I just picked the book up a week or so again to re-read it for the 50th time. Life is weird lke that sometimes.

I didn't know this, but apparently he died in MY city, and had been living here for about two years! I wish I had known this...for some reason it always makes a difference to me to know that a well-known person lives nearby. I love his books. An article in our paper says he gave a presentation at the university in April. If I had known he lived here, I might have heard about this and gone. I think it would have been a great experience.

Life is tough.
