I remember when I found out that I was a football player, a hockey player, the first athlete to complete a triple lutz jump in international competition, and a couple of other things... And this was BEFORE the internet was accessible to the general public (back in 1987 or so). I think it IS just easier to get info on sports figures. After all, when I do a search on my name now, I find that I am the Queen of England's official calligrapher, a photographer, the editor of a collection about the Lewis and Clark expidition, and according to the link below, I am some beloved dead guy, too. OK, so none of the rest of those are sports related, but they DO all have reason to be on the internet. The scary thing is, I only went through about 30 of the 3090 results Google turned up. I'm pretty prolific on the web, it seems...
