Mad Cow..... thats terrible. Mum said that if the disease (which is a very remote chance) ever came to Australia we would have to put all the horses, and Rudolph (the biggest fatest most spoiled sheep you've ever seen!) down.

We called him Rudolph because when he was a lamb (a big fat lamb the size of a fully grown sheep!)... anyway when he was a lamb, we were building our house at the same time, he used to get into the red cement dye and eat it. We always knew when he'd been in it because he'd come out with this big fat red nose! He also loves watermelon and in summer he gets all the rinds and stuff and he gets a red nose from that as well. Its funny :-) He eats everything...He's worse than the goats that we used to have.

My youngest sister came back from the dump with some bullet shells one afternoon and left them out, when we came out we saw his nose stuck in the container the shells were in and he was eating them! Really & truly!

Another time Mum and Pa were going to a resturaunt for their anniversery (I think) and Mum had washed her black crape shirt to go out in. Anyway she hung it on the line to dry and Rudolph ate the bottom of the shirt and it was really noticable. But cause my parents were running late she chucked the shirt on and left with Pa. Anyway it wasn't until she got home that she noticed that half her shirt was eaten and she'd been wearing it all evening at quite a posh resturaunt! That was when Rudolph got banned to the back paddock where he is now living today :-)


Anyway back to the Mad cow Disease, was Mum being dramatic when she said we'd have to put all our pets down or was she serious?
