Ah yes, it's always a high point to join the Christmas & Easter congregations. Howbeit I do believe there is great affinity in celebrating the joy exuded by C+E Christians -- these people simply do NOT have any tolerance with sniping and gripings about the way, for example, that the pastor's wife may look from week to week; or about the way the service is being handled; or about whether it's up to scratch with impossible expectations. Some regular church-goers get all hung up on the trivialities, forgetting why people actually GO to church to worship in the first place....

Ramble, ramble :-)

Heh. I know that soggy sinking feeling that one can get -- well, at least in the heart, if not literally.

If we were cartoon characters, our faces would be red and steam would be coming out of our ears. We've since learned to let only one of us tackle a big electronic equipment hookup while the other one goes into another room, preferably a room in another house.

Give up electronics and computers next year for Lent. Just joking.

Starting around my birthday before Easter, I was frustrated by a major meltdown. It covered questions about love. Questions about faith, and community. This time of the year is about renewal and recommitment -- and I would like to rejoice in an opportunity to find sustaining answers in places other than where the pat and easy ones are usually found.
