To remove the spiral, you need to follow the following steps. You might want to create a back up of WIN.INI before editing it.

Step 1: Open WIN.INI, which can be found in the C:\WINDOWS folder with NOTEPAD

Step 2: Delete the line that says run=aiciaic.exe. Save the file.

Step 3: Reboot your computer.

Step 4: Goto your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder and delete the file called AICIAIC.EXE. You may need to delete this file via DOS with a boot disk.

You may have to change the properties so you can delete the file. To do this, right click on the file and click PROPERTIES. Where it says ATTRIBUTES, make sure only ARCHIVE is checked.
