I'm going home. I haven't been home in a year, so it's about time.

In Norway, both Thursday (tomorrow), Friday (is it called Good Friday?), Sunday (Easter day) and Monday are holidays, and Saturday everything is pretty much just open a short while. Many people have the first three weeks off, too, and Easter is the great skiing holiday. The weather is usually very nice, with blue skies and comfortable temperatures, and this year seems to be very nice indeed.

Myself, I'm not going skiing, though. I'm going home to Sandane (Saan-daan-ae, this pronounciation probably is a bit tricky for you English people :-) where my three brothers live. I'm not going to get to meet my father, though, because he's with his... um... what do you call it? She's hardly a GIRL friend, since they're both over 60. Anyway, as some of you might know, my mother died from cancer about ten years ago, and this is his new spouse, which he met shortly after my mum's death. So he's spending Easter with her.

But I'll meet my brothers, and one, or hopefully two, of my best friends. (They're girls, both of them, by the way. Somehow, I seem to "bond" best with the opposite sex.) I'm looking forward to that.
