If I could live in a fictional world, I'd have choices. Eesh!

I might pick Hanhar, the world I created myself for a novel I wrote. It's a pretty typical fantasy world, but there are a few quirks I like to think are original, and besides--I'd get to meet my characters. "Hello, Aidan, how are you?" "Uh... do I know you, miss?"

I might pick Anne McCaffrey's Pern. Hey, I'm obsessive with dragons, and I've always been amazed at the depth within that world, all the different shades of life.

I might also pick the Star Wars universe. Gimme a light saber and I'll be happy. Heheh...

There's also this book I read a really long time ago, which I don't really remember the author or the title or anything, but I remember this scene out of it that has stuck with me for years. It's a bar fight in a section of town that's predominantly psycic, and these two seers are having this fight, but they just keep ducking and saying "Ha! I foresaw that you would do that!" "I foretold that you would try that!" It goes on for a while, until eventually the bartender takes this chicken, cuts it open, stares deep and furtively into the bird's guts, sighs, and then hits both of the fighters over the head. "The entrails told me you wouldn't be expecting that." I also recall that in that book, there were dead birds falling from the sky... I dunno, but a world like that might be fun to live in.
