LOL, finally, a clarinet player with some *sense*! I hope the Scotsman reads your post. In fact, I think I'll email him a link to it. He and I used to sit right next to each other in high school orchestra, I on the cello and he on the clarinet. We had wars all the time on whose instrument was superior. We still haven't settled that years-old argument.
