Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D): "Let us look at it, right here, choosing how we spend $280 billion. Are we going to invest it in our kids or are we going to invest it in a few millionaires who already have made it? I might add, to anyone who thinks that everyone who has made a million dollars earned it, let me just say something. I made a million dollars, and I did not earn it. I was given it by my parents and my grandparents. Know what? Wealth is now transferred from the rich to the rich."

I just find that incredibly funny. He has to say that the people who have millions of dollars don't deserve it, but since he's among that group, he has to criticise himself too.

But hey, just because Pat Kennedy never made a dollar in his life that he didn't inherit or that wasn't taxed to get to him, doesn't mean that no one else deserves to keep the money they make.
