(Even in England, our car was still a left-hand drive.) "Weird!!" Darleen exclaimed when we piled into Brunnen-G's car, and Darleen was shown to the front passenger seat. ... On the other hand, I had to stop myself from carelessly distracting the actual driver. ...

The big heavy sliding doors on vans were on the left side of the vehicle. ... Signs on multiple lane roads said, "Keep left except to pass." Windshield wipers (called "windscreen wipers" there) were hinged on the other side, making them wipe the WRONG WAY.

What about the foot pedals? If everything else about driving is reversed, it would make sense for the pedals to be on the wrong sides, too--accelerator on the left, brake in the middle, and clutch on the right. Or perhaps jumbled into a new, exciting arrangement. Now *that* would take some getting used to.
