Leen, I pray that his recovery goes well and uneventfully. Please encourage him in the ventilator exercises. :-)

One of my very close relatives had to have a double-bypass surgery shortly after the time of the Great Ice Storm a few years ago. It was a somewhat stressful time because we'd gone through a period of no heating, no electricity, no hot water, etc. for three weeks. But everything went well in the long run. The operation fixed him right up. Hope the same goes for your Dad.
