Actually, Sesame Street kind of traumatized me as well. So, why don't I start a sub-discussion here:
Has anyone else out there been traumatized by a well-intentioned kid's program sketch?

When I was very little, from about 2-6, Sesame Street was my absolute obsession. I had ALL the books, including the "monster at the end of this book" one, and I watched it all the time.

Then, one fateful day, I saw the sketch that would change my life forever. It was really short - instucting the viewer about the letter "E". I saw a small Muppet run onto the screen, pause, face you, and shout "Eeee." Then it ran off. Then another, larger Muppet came on, and did the same thing. Then another, even larger Muppet.
