That is really distressing. And I think the worst part of it is the possibility that after BSE crisis, nothing of any worth has been put into place to prevent any contagious outbreak from occurring again.

In Australia we have pretty rigid quarantine laws and they have doubled their efforts to screen everyone entering the country, especially from Europe. I don't think we've had any industry threatening situations, although I don't speak from a position of extreme knowledge. I don't know that we'd cope with it any better.
