Thanks to you, too!
I just thought I'd mention one thing: I became a *much* better photographer after spending a year in an art school, just learning the basics of drawing, painting, composition, colors, contrasts etc.--even though I hardly touched my camera the whole year.
What happened, was this: Before, there was just so many things to think about when I was taking photos; I had to do both the artistic and the technical thinking at the same time, and most often found my knowledge far from sufficient in both areas. Also, I could never act quickly enough, with all the different confused thoughts in my head, so I most often missed the opportunities. (Well, I used a tripod for the Kuba photos, but still... :-)
In art school, however, I learned the artistic abilities, so that when I now take the camera with me somewhere, I can concentrate on getting better on the tech stuff, because many of the artistic judgements and decisions happen almost automatically--at least, without me having to think conciously about it all the time.
That year was definitely worth every hour spent!
