I'm really glad you brought this up. Food is one of my favorite subjects. And although, my mind is somewhat immature, my body has been completely grown up for decades. I don't think that has had much impact on my tastes. I've always eaten Oreos like popcorn. I do sometime scrape the icing off the cake, but it's usually a commercially made cake and they have beautiful awful-tasting icing. Homemade icing, on the other hand, is food from heaven. My snack of choice is salsa and chips. I eat *no* chicken and very little fish. I am rapidly losing my taste for pork and I never eat sheep. Even my portions of beef are deminishing slightly. I wonder if I am a closet vegetarian. I now eat things I never heard of as a kid. Stuff like kiwi and avacados. I think tropical fruits are great. Pineapple and mango make my mouth water. I also like to pig out on ethnic food like Mexican and Italian. Some kosher dishes hit the spot, and Chinese is high on my list. I don't like vegetables overcooked, so stir fries are among my favorites. The one exception to this is green beans. I like them slow cooked for hours, southern style. I like sweets with hot, black coffee. Ever since I was tot back in the 30's, I've loved cake, pie, ice cream, fudge (anything chocolate)and any kind of bread. My favorite soup is French onion, my favorite sandwich is a Rubin, and pizza is a staple at our house.
I think I'll go up to the kitchen and grab a snack. No wonder my waistline is 40 inches.
