Wow! I'm amazed to see that you remember my pangram. (Actually, you spelled "waqf" wrong.) I submitted "Veldt jynx grimps waqf zho buck" to Guinness in 1984 and it was published in the 1988 Edition. A few years later, the category was deleted and my 15 minutes of fame were over. I occasionally search the net for the phrase and found it here. I rarely get credit for it anymore and it is usually attributed to "Anonymous." No one knows that I submitted not one-- but two pangrams to Guinness. The other one is "Qursh gowf veldt jynx zimb pack." This describes some Arabian coins hitting a group of flies which are sitting on that same African woodpecker. I like this second pangram better, but Guinness chose to publish the other one. You read it here first. Rave On-- Mike Jones
