The building that comes to mind is a church in Kutna Hora, near Prague. It's built out of the usual materials, but there's a definite human-bones motif to the interior decoration; there's even a chandelier said to contain at least one of every bone in the human body.
The decorations came about because they were running out of room in the church's graveyard, and they needed to shift some of the older bodies somewhere to make room for new ones. The usual solution in such cases was to, effectively, chuck the bones in a cellar somewhere, but one of the priests at this church decided to get creative...
(I believe there's a recent fantasy movie where the interior of the church was used for scenes set inside the evil wizard's stronghold.)

Does this chandelier look familiar? (scroll down)
