Man, there are just earthquakes happening EVERYWHERE! We had a little 4-pointer here (Southern SF Bay Area) a few days ago. I didn't even feel it. I'm kinda used to earthquakes, but at college several of the out-of-staters were afraid the dorms were going to collapse. It takes WAY more than a 4-pointer to kill a building here, so I found that kind of funny... but of course, I AM used to quakes, and they weren't. I was out of the country for Loma Prieta in '89 (the big nasty one that collapsed part of the Bay Bridge, took out some freeway - and all it did in my house was knock a soap dish off the wall), but I've been in others.

I'm waiting for Alaska to check in with an earthquake now. They have lots of faults up there.
