Isn't it strange that two different people, listening to the EXACT SAME sermon can get two different responses? One can come out of filled to tears, and the second came come out bored to tears. I believe it happens in EVERY church, no matter the faith. I once heard that YOU have to choose what YOU get out of it. If you were bored to tears, perhaps you should ask yourself what YOU should do to make it better. I've also heard that it helps to try to listen to what the speaker is TRYING to say, not what he/she is actually saying.

Now, I've never really been to a Mass, so I don't know what it entails, but I do believe that it would be the same. You have to choose what you get out of it.
