I had to read St. Augustine in my Humanities class... it was kind of interesting, actually. I'm a Christian, and although I don't go to a Christian college, I ended up reading a lot more works by church fathers as required reading than I would have on my own. (Of course, their whole humanistic tack on everything, including the Bible, was intensly frustrating.) It was definetely interesting reading!

Oh, and let me stick in that this whole conversation thread rules... I love how everyone is being mature and stuff! That might seem a minor thing to others, but I've been on message boards where NOBODY tolerated ANY questioning on ANYTHING. These were all supposedly rational adults, too. (I didn't stay there long, needless to say.) So it's definetely appreciated, and I'm finding all of this totally interesting. :) Just thought I'd mention that. :)
