I once had an interview that not only started late, on a Friday afternoon no less, but was held with a dot matrix printer clattering away the whole time, and was interrupted at least three times. The woman was more than slightly disheveled, every flat surface in her office was covered with piles of papers, and every single mini-blind in her office (there were several) was raised to a different height and left askew. I had all of this and more prepared to tell my recruiter when she called me to say they hadn't offered me the position, but her only question when she called was, "Can you start Monday?"
