Best Conversational Archive: "Hey! There's Corn In Here!"

"Hey! There's Corn In Here!" will win due to the nostalgia factor, but the phrase has reached near-"WASSSSUP?" levels of overexposure which might hurt its chances. The award should go to "Nuclear Monsters From the Sea" which has a wholesome charm to it, while sustaining and slowly building the humor level.

Although I would like to see "How the Grishny Stole RinkMas" win, it doesn't read as if it was as spontaneously written as the others were. I was amazed at how many people really liked "Split Stephen".


Best Improvised Humor Archive: "The Flame War"

Although "Girly Stuff" is a better archive, "The Flame War" will win this because of the number of in-jokes and rampant lunacy that RinkChatters seem to enjoy.

If people who aren't RinkChat regulars take the time to read all the archives and vote on which one is better, I think both "The Flame War" and "Stupid Day 2000" would split the regular's votes.

It's going to win Best Archive, so logic says it should also win Best Prank Archive.


Best Self-Chat: "Self-Parking"

The passing of the chat baton worked well here. Dave's "Self-Chat" will come in close as Dave is a funny guy and his chat is rather hilarious.


Best Alternate Personality: Stephen as Radebur

This one's a cake walk.


Best Non-Speaking Appearance: Brunnen-G in "How the Grishny Stole RinkMas"

Her exit was well-timed. ladybluebird's appearance was also well-done, but the timing worked better for Brunnen-G.


Best 733T aHX0r: Someone from "Dudes to Be Feared"

Although it would be neat to see Mousie win best 733t ahx0r for a role where it's hard to tell where she was imitating a 733t ahx0r, it's going to go to someone from "d00dz 2 b f33rd", which also should win the coveted "Hardest Archive To Look At Without Getting A Spitting Headache" Award.


Best Improvised Song or Poem: Brunnen-G for "God Save the Leen", in "Songs and Getting Older"

It was good and everyone likes Leen. Mousie would've won because "Ode to Dave" was good, but Stephen doesn't like Dave, so there ya go.


Best Sound Effects Transcription: "Safari"

PLEASE! "Safari" has to win at least one award! Pretty please? It's not like this is an important award anyway. C'mon, throw me a bone.


Best Onomatopoeia: Mousie for "kisssmoochsmackluvamushnessMMMmmmmmmwwwwaaaH", in "Tired By So Much Late"

"kisssmoochsmackluvamushnessMMMmmmmmmwwwwaaaH" How can anyone not love that? Issachar's "Oooo-iiiiii..bibibibibibibi-iiiiii..bibibibibi..iiiiii-ayahayahay-ayah" could be a close second, but it's from "Safari", so it won't win. (Joke! I'm not bitter! Really!)

Best Closing Line: Morris (as eric), for "Safari"

Mousie's line in "The Admin War of the Ages" is good as well, but it really doesn't sum up the whole archive. She does have a great exit line, but you really need to take into account the few lines before that which really brings out the humor in her line. If you're going to do that, you might as well look at the whole archive, and I think Morris/eric's line perfect in context with the entire archive.

Dave and Leen might get high votes here as well.


Best Male Comic Conversationalist: Dave, most likely for "The Great Ginger Ale Tragedy"

Although there is a danger of him splitting the vote here, he'll probably gain most for "The Great Ginger Ale Tragedy". Dave's a funny guy.


Best Female Comic Conversationalist: Ellmyruh, for "Some Form of I.D."

I get the feeling that this one will be close between Elly, Brunnen-G, and Mousie. Very hard to call.


Best Male Comic Improvisor: Grishny, for "Bloody Mayhem At Sakura's House"

"Bloody Mayhem" would have been my pick for Best Improvised Episode Archive and it's all Grishny's fault (well, Sakura's too). I was surprised when it wasn't nominated. Although the other nominees did well, I think Grishny's showing in "Bloody Mayhem" was one of the funniest things I've ever read in the Archives.


Best Female Comic Improvisor: Kiki, for "Girly Stuff"

This is a hard one to call. I think "Girly Stuff" was a great archive. Unfortunately, Ticia's votes might be split between "Girly Stuff" and "Safari", which will push Kiki over the top. Mia in "The Case of the Mangled Wrap" would be my next pick, although this one is just too hard to pick a winner.


Best First Appearance in an Archive: Dave, in "Dave Makes Dinner"

I would love to win this one for my appearance in "Safari", but it probably won't happen. My apperance in "Safari" was part of an ensemble cast; Dave was akin to the lead actor in "Dave Makes Dinner" which is also nominated for Best Archive. You do the math.

Liface in "I Have Eyes Everywhere" will also make a strong showing, but Dave will win this one.
