Let me add my thoughts here.

You seem to have, as Sam pointed out, a lot of negative emotions towards this guy, or at least you *have* had them. If he knows about this, giving him the poem might help him understand where you stand in this matter -- if he cares and *wants* to understand. I always value knowledge about how others feel toward me if I know they might be hurting because of me. Talk is good in such cases.

If you know that he probably doesn't care, showing him this poem won't make much difference, I think. But it might be helpful to you, though.

If he knows nothing of your feelings toward him at all, I'd say: Don't show him the poem (hey, that rhymed!). At least not if you want something good to come out of it.

I know that it would upset me if some girl i know would give me a poem just out of the blue, saying she had been hating me but was getting over it, and if she wasn't going to try and get me interested in her anyway, but just say that I had been hurting her for a long while, although it wasn't my fault at all, then I'd seriously think she was being manipulative and projecting her bad feelings onto me for no other reason than not being the only one to suffer from her own faults.

Note that this is how *I* would *think* in such a situation (based on earlier experiences), it is not what I think *your* situation is.
