I remember when I moved into the dorm at the beginning of my freshman year. I walked in, set that little suitcase down and I was all moved in and completely organized. In 1953, you could go to college without a computer, stero system, palm pilot, cell phone..... all that stuff. Later, I went to the bookstore and bought a pencil and a notebook. When I got back to my room and put them on top of the chest, I was all organized again. It was a week before I got all my books. Sometime in late October, I added a coat to the clutter. Fortunately the previous occupant had left a coat hanger on the back of the door, so I got that organized quickly. I was a little embarrassed because I had so much more than my two room mates. They were from poor families.
