I hate science fair projects. I had to do one three years in a row, from 8th-10th grades. Bah.

The first two years I did something really stupid with growing mold. I never made it past the first round with those. The third year I did something with optical illusions, and made it to regional. Whoopee!

One kid I knew did the same project year after year, from 8th-12th grade. He was big into science. His project involved wind tunnels, and he improved on his designs each year. I know he made it to national more than once, and if there's an "international" cut, he probably made that too at least once.
