I've been wondering if home schooling is really a good idea... It seems to me that what public schooling may lack in textbook education, it more than makes up for in social education. I'm sure that by learning at home you could learn a lot more about English and Math and Physics, but I would think you'd be less informed when it comes to social interatcion, which most any job would require. So I come to the point of this post. Do you rinkydinks think that homeschooling is better than public schooling?

Well, I was Public Schooled for all but four years (two at a non-Religious Preschool/Kindergarden, and two years at diffrent Catholic School- 1st grade and 9th grade)and I was never home schooled. Personally, conisdering my introspective and shy nature I may have liked home school better, but I needed public school. I tend to be moleish (not going out much) as it is. If I hadn't been forced to spend large amounts of time away from my family with kids my own age I'd be almost as weird Norman Bates. In my mind The 'hidden curriculem' (the term used by Educationalists for social and interpersonal skills learned from the social interaction of the classroom and play ground) was essential to my development. Espesially since my family was military and we moved every 3-4 years.
