I think the ideal balance would be to go to "regular" school for grammar school, then be home-schooled once you hit thos nasty puberty years (when social interaction is probably the hardest it'll ever be in your life, for reasons you'll NEVER encouter again once you get past this stage) then go back to school starting around 16 or so. If everyone did that, I think the world would be better.
