Ooh - careful with that one. Though it is certainly an annoyance, it doesn't necessarily doom the movie - witness "My Fair Lady," "Guys and Dolls" and other screen adaptations of musicals. "My Fair Lady," for instance, is one of my favorites, and yet Rex Harrison can't sing to save his life. Ditto Marlon Brando in "Guys and Dolls."
