It's not like my parents have taught me that either, they both swear constantly, but i'm used to it. It isn't the swearing that gets me down, it's the starting... I really have no idea why, but a couple of my friends who i've kept from swearing for a really long time, have started, and it really made me feel bad. oh well.

Unfortunatly, I did nothing to stop the profanity and it continued until I became desensitized to it and started swearing myself...never in front of customers and I wouldn't say certain words. I would never say the "F" word or take the Lords name in vain...

I have never sworn since then. Don't get me wrong, I've certainly FELT like swearing many times since then, but I restrained myself. Just remembering the look on my sisters face was enough to help me remember that it's just not worth it. No matter how mad I get at someone, or how hard I stub my toe, It's just not worth it.

As a funny side note...When I was 4 or 5 years old and was just learning that there were "Bad" words that I wasn't allowed to say, I asked my older sister and Brother what the "F" word was...They informed me that it was FirePlace...and then the went around the room chanting "Fireplace, Fireplace, Fireplace" However, when I ran to my mother in tears insisting that Jenny and Jeremy where saying the "F" word, they didn't think THAT was so funny, now, did they...

Where I come from they call it "cussing" and it's considered a sign of ignorance. It works out fine. If you want to know if someone is ignorant, just listen and see if they cuss.
