I have a hard time making decisions but, for once in my life, I have one solid answer to the best and worst events in my life this past year. The answer to both parts can be found in a single event that happened to me last August. I jumped up and down in euphoria and I sobbed in agony. I lost sleep due to both excitement and nervousness. I hovered on the brink of depression, which is not natural for me, and I suffered a severe case of writer's block that nearly drove me insane. But I would definitely repeat the experience in a heartbeat. I met a family member for the first time in my 21 years of life.

That aside, here is my list, in no particular order. I'm sure I'm forgetting things, but that's just too bad, isn't it?

BEST:
1. Becoming engaged (March 11)
2. Becoming an active RinkyDink (April)
3. Discovering the school newspaper
4. Buying a new car (November)
5. Getting a new job and, in the process, a nicer boss
6. Being a bridesmaid for the first time (December 16--A travel log will be posted within a day or two)
7. Being inducted into a national honor society
8. Having my first face-to-face meetings with Internet friends--four of them!

WORST:
1. Finals (May and December)
2. Moving for the fourth time in three years
3. Not speaking to my mom for five months (We're okay now)
