If I had to guess, I'd say the chief pilot's name was Garfield.

I think I read this story on RinkWorks, but just in case there is someone who hasn't heard it:

A group of envirnomentalists found two young seals washed up on a beach, firmly entangled in a fishing net. Carefully, they cut the net and freed the two seals who were both near death.
Then they took them to a saltwater tank and over a period of months, healed their wounds and nursed them back to health. Then one bright sunny day, a large group of animal fanciers gathered to watch as the two lucky seals were returned to the wild. They also got to watch a pod of killer whales kill and eat them less than a minute later.
Don't you just love nature stories?

PS - Aw, get over it. It's probably just a story.
