6. The American people definitely missed Jesse Jackson and his hip, with-it civil rights attitude. It was about time he got to (as the New York Post put it) spew some more bile.

7. Now, with a spot of luck, we'll soon no longer have to hear about this election. I was ready for it to end five weeks ago when it was supposed to.

8. Colin Powell is Da Bomb. Nobody really knows *why* he's Da Bomb, but *everybody* knows he is.

9. It's about time we had a president who could be referred to by one letter alone. I mean, I get sick of the length required to say "President Clinton," "Predident Kennedy," or, heaven forfend, "President Eisenhower." It'll be much better to be able to say "W." I mean, granted, "W" is a long letter to say ("double-yoo," for those who are unfamiliar with the arcane art of alphabet), but it's a compromise. This election was and the following presidency can be expected to be all about compromise, right? And our president-elect embodies that compromise within his very name. Wow. I'm deep sometimes. I need to be taken down a peg, I think.

10. I never have to hear the terms "dimpled chad" or "pregnant chad" EVER AGAIN.
