This might interest those of you who live in New England.
I just made one of my frequent trips to Georgia last week. It's spring down there, as it is here in Tennessee. Warm, sunny, no need for a jacket.
Don't believe a word of it. We arrived there about the same time as a "wedge" of cold air from the north Atlantic. It was 20 degrees colder in Atlanta than it was in Nashville. It rained like crazy and the wind howled day and night. Meteorologists explained that the nor'easter sliced through the Carolinas instead of into New England as they usually do. The mountains deflected it to the south of Tennessee. Most of Georgia's weather comes from the west or southwest. Storms tend to be warm and wet. Air masses never move from the north Atlantic into Georgia. Did I say "never?"
