I've personally never participated in a white elephant thing, but my Interact club advisor/founder/teacher person wanted to do that for all the club members. I doubt she will, though, since Christmas vacation starts the week after this one. Instead, we're going to each bring in $1.00 and a food item this coming up Wednesday...the $1.00 will go towards buying a gift for a needy child, and the food item will go to that child's family. Oh, and we're sponsoring a child overseas, too, so we each need to bring a quarter for that. It's like...gee, I mean, a quarter. It feels like that's so little, yet it helps a child get schooling and food and what-not. I'm very lucky to have a house and food to eat everyday, and I want to help other people be happy...I know it's not much, but whatever I can do to help them makes me feel all Christmas-y inside. LOL. :D
