Well, I had the audition today. I kept kind of a journal of the day's events, along with some random thoughts
To understand, you need to know that Edgewood is my school and Overbrook is our sister/rival school, which was where I was going to catch the bus to the audition.
Here's the journal, edited heavily for clarity:

6:25 AM: Woke up. I needed to leave by 6:45. Problem. After about six minutes of getting ready, I immediately started on my journal. After some phone troubles (and finding out that I was going to leave at 7:15, not 6:45... sigh), we headed out.
7:33: Arrived at Overbrook. We waited a bit for the bus, then for everyone to board, then for the Overbrook band teacher (?), then we finally left.

Thoughts on/events of the rest of the day:
I'm the only Edgewood student... It's a bit unnerving.
They're all in the back and I'm alone in front. Figures.
The driver says that the tape player and radio are broken. No big loss there...
The radio seems to be fine. ("Who Let the Dogs Out" again? *groan*)
Radio Disney!? AGH.
Awfully bumpy ride...
You know, all pop songs sound the same...
Waitaminute, why are we stopping at Deptford High? The driver doesn't seem to know...
Oki, we're not stopping. Wait, yes, we are! AUGH!
Oh, Deptford's the audition site, not Cinnaminson...
We're the first ones here??
Hm, the Brookies don't seem so bad. One even brought donuts. Glazed. Mmm...
People are coming in now (8:40 or thereabouts), but no one's setting up or playing. I wonder...
Is it possible that Overbrook's even less sane than Edgewood? Nah, can't be.
Warming up now... (So what if there's only two of us who are?)
Eek. Thin tone. This isn't good.
(somewhere around 9:00) I just heard another flute player doing a chromatic scale. Um. I'm toast.
My fingers are slow, I'm fumbling my scales... I'm going to need a healthy dose of luck to win.
9:05: More people are practicing. There's a group a few seats down from me. I hope they aren't listening....
9:12: My tone's opened up, but my fingers have forgotten Fantasie [the solo requirement]... I'm taking a break for now.
9:32: Going back to it.
9:35: Tired already. I'll go back in a few...
9:48: Can't concentrate. Feeling tired. Eyes hurt. I think I may take a nap...
9:51: I give up. I'm even more tired. Taking another break.
Not many people... There goes my one hope of getting in.
10:05: The girl behind me's playing. I've heard better. Going back to it.
~10:10: Found out what I have to play (the tough parts, of course). I also found out that I have to register.
10:15: Number 76. Huh.
10:20: They just called up the first 10 flutes. Yay.
No one seems to want to audition early...
10:40: Break.
11:35: I finally decided to go a while ago. [The numbers are for identification only?] I happened to run into the other Edgewood student (who probably drove... lucky seniors). Nothing much to say about that.
I choked badly on the solo (although the parts I had to play were actually fairly easy). I didn't do well at all on the sight reading, but I made up for it with the scales (F, A, D flat, and C chromatic).
~11:45: I called Dad to pick me up. Problem is, he's at Cinnaminson and I haven't a clue where Deptford is, so either he has to find it or I take the bus with the Brookies, which would require quite a wait... *sigh*
12:24: Dad found the school and picked me up, and that's the end of that little adventure.

More to come when the scores come in...
