Ah, what a perfect end to a week full of various annoying tests, assignments, and the like.

As some of you may know, I take Karate class on a regular basis. I have for a long time. A very long time. As in, the better part of my life.

Anyway, the second half of the two-part grading occured today. Basically, the first part was mainly focused on a medium-hard workout, technique for form, and Kata (Series of Karate moves to memorize). The second part was mainly focused on an EXTREME workout, fighting technique, and fighting everyone else in the class, one at a time.

I pretty much worked myself to (metaphorical) death. I did well.

So, after 11 (maybe more) years in Karate, I am pleased to annonce that I have finally reached the highest belt-rank that can be given out in the class: Shodan-Ho (Brown Stripe / Acting Black; can't get black until I have to attend some black belt grading that occurs once a year in various parts of the country). Yay!

Vena Vidi Vici!
