I was not sure where I was going with that post. I'm sorry it was so disjointed. I was limited on time and rushing myself to get my point across; but I obviously didn't succeed. I think I'll label that one "deletable" if you want to get rid of it.
> The point I'm trying to make are that there is an area between "humor involving sin" and "humor that is corrupt" (which, engaging in, I suppose, is a sin itself). The gray area between encompasses a range of humor of varying degrees of advisability, and the sinfulness of its use may depend on circumstance.
YES! Exactly. Unlike some other things, humor has a large, grey area, and everyone's convictions are going to vary. I've even struggled with some things that I find very funny that God has convicted me about, and it's been hard to obey Him and give them up.
> Before I substantiate the second part of that, let me substantiate the first by refuting that all humor involving sin IS sin.
[snipped a bit here] > Is this all sin? If you're nodding your head solemnly, we have nothing more to say on the matter.
LOL. "Nodding my head solemnly." The mental image of myself sitting here, reading your post and "nodding my head solemnly" has me cracking up! No, you've made your point very well and I agree with it 100 percent.
>But assuming you're still with me, I have just established that "humor involving sin" does not imply "humor that is sin." That conclusion makes it necessary to consider the logical question, "Where, then, is the line drawn?"
There is no absolute line. There cannot be, with such a wide grey area involved. Each individual will have to draw their own line, in their own heart, based on *their* emotional / mental / spiritual makeup, and if they are a Christian, factoring in the convictions God has given them.

Again, I agree. Each person has to follow their own convictions. You haven't mentioned it yet, but Romans 14:4-14 applies. You and I are both ultimately responsible before God for the convictions that He gives us, no matter where that line falls.
