I was there last night. I was upset. I don't exactly know why. In the morning it seemed silly to get as worked up as I did about the whole incident, but this place has come to matter a great deal to me and I was tired last night and this kind of prank was not at all what I expected. I've never found pranks particularly funny, perhaps because I'm usually on the receiving end.

I did find the french thing fun, but I can pretend anyway to speak french. The code thing was not bad but was not something I could participate in.

The drunks were fun for the first few minutes. If there had been a swift kick and ban after the first or second time they came back I could have had a laugh and gone to bed without all the mess. Probably it just went on too long.

Another thing that might bothered me was the way Morris, Wormwood, and Wes were accused of being at the root of it when those doing the accusing obviously knew perfectly well that it wasn't them at all.

Maybe it was the little things that got to me...At one point Sam said "Rinkchat is DEAD" or something of the sort. I really wasn't sure that there would be a place to come back to this morning.

And then the way Sam and Dave seemed angry that no one got their joke...

Last night was a bad night.

All this said I want to say thank you to Sam for writting the post that I'm replying to and for giving me a place like this that I would fear losing enough to get upset about it.
